“You can’t buy happiness, but you can go fishing, and that’s pretty much the same thing;” We think that’s just about right. In Mark Twain’s adventure books, Huck Finn found freedom, escape and peace fishing with Jim on the river. Gone Fishin’ captures that easy living essence too.

Those lake mornings, when the sun’s peaking into daylight, and the steam’s rising off the lake, seeing the fish break the glassy water surface – well, it just brings a sort of peace that’s indescribable and an excitement for what the day might bring.

Kim and Kim’s brother Mike used to daydream of catching ‘a mess of fish’ so their dad could cook them and, even when those big catch dreams didn’t come true, their days spent trying were joy-filled and always turned into a grand adventure!

With a few pole casting fans in our own family, we were able to round up an assortment of old lures, bobbers, poles and nets. Check out the small collection behind the glass case in the cabin - we think it's pretty nifty!
